MLP Flowers of Harmony- Purity - Sky Grandeur

This is another favourite of mine. I like how Sky Grandeur has a very animated smile and dynamic pose. She looks really excited and happy about her new and fancy haute couture. In many of your other drawings in this series, the ponies tend to just stand around in their dresses with a formal and reserved contentment, which works well for ponies like Twilight and Cadence. But for some of the other ponies I feel a different pose and expression would be more fitting for their character and personality. I mean, Sky Grandeur looks so happy in this drawing, that she could make Pinkie Pie jealous.

The lily personally reminds me of faeries, and additionally of magic, beauty, fragility, shyness, curiosity and playfulness. The Wavy petals of the flowers and dress looks great in conjunction with Sky Grandeur's dynamic pose and wavy tail and bangs of hair. Also, the pigment spots on the lilies compliment Sky Grandeur's spots really well. I really like this synergi.

Generally, I prefer my ponies in a bright setting, so at first I was a bit iffy on the dark purple backdrop. But I must admit that it really makes the motifs pop, which adds to the sprightly feel of this drawing.
