This is the 26th of my series designing dresses for ponies with a flower theme. Repainting the Princesses together! Links to their individual pics above.

 Twilight's Element is Magic, and since Friendship IS Magic I searched for a flower that meant friendship, and found the Hydrangea. In the language of flowers, hydrangeas symbolize friendship, devotion, perseverance, sincerity, and understanding.

  Celestia is the immortal princess of the sun, so since I used the sunflower for Rainbow Dash, Celestia's dress is based on the Dahlia. In the language of flowers Dahlias mean dignity, elegance, inner strength, creativity and forever thine.

 Luna is the immortal princess of the moon, so Luna's dress is based on the Moonflower.  In the language of flowers Moonflowers mean mysteries of intuition, delicate femininity, and dreams of love.

 Cadence is the Princess of Love, so for her flower I choose the Rose. In the language of flowers, Roses mean love, romance, enduring passion (red roses), gratitude, appreciation and admiration (pink roses).

 Flurry Heart is the new Princess (as of Season 6) and since she's too young to have a set personality, I gave her the Rosebud as the heir of Love. Rose buds symbolize beauty, youth, and a heart innocent of love. Red rosebuds mean purity and loveliness and white rosebuds signify girlhood or “too young to love.”


Sorry this took me so long. I haven't painted in acrylics since college and I forgot how long it takes me to do. I'm so used to doing things with lines, making something with almost zero lines is hard! Especially since I didn't have colored pencils or a computer to tighten things up with. But I felt that Luna came out a little muddy in the watercolor I did of her and Celestia, so I wanted to use a medium that I could safely use strong colors with.
